NEW YORK, Sept. 22, 2026
New Partners strengthen the AI-native firm’s ability to advise sponsors, portfolio companies and public companies on complex transactions, governance and capital markets matters.
NEW YORK, Sept. 22, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Norm Law LLP (“Norm Law”), the first AI-native full-service law firm for global institutional clients, today announced that Nicolas Dumont and Martin Pepeljugoski have joined the firm as partners.
Dumont joins as Partner and Head of Public Company Advisory, and Pepeljugoski as a Partner in the firm’s Private Equity & M&A practice. Together, they expand Norm Law’s ability to advise private equity sponsors, portfolio companies, public companies, boards of directors and management teams on complex transactions, corporate governance, public-company reporting and capital markets matters.
Norm Law integrates Norm Ai’s proprietary agentic technology into the delivery of legal services. Partners and associates work alongside legal and AI engineers on live matters, applying their judgment and experience to improve the underlying workflows over time.
For clients, that means the firm’s understanding of their business compounds over time. Approved precedents, preferred positions and prior decisions inform future work, allowing each matter to proceed with greater familiarity. Technology supports repeatable execution, while enabling senior lawyers to focus on structure, negotiation, risk and the issues that require their judgment.
“Nicolas and Marty combine the expertise required for sophisticated corporate work with the mindset to rethink how that work is delivered,” said Mike Schmidtberger, Chairman of Norm Law. “Nicolas has spent nearly two decades guiding public companies through disclosure, governance and capital markets matters. Marty has advised sponsors, portfolio companies and boards from both private practice and inside a global public company. At Norm Law, they will not inherit a fixed way of working. They will help design their practices around what AI now makes possible.”
As Head of Public Company Advisory, Dumont will build and lead the firm’s practice advising domestic and foreign public companies on SEC reporting, stock exchange compliance, corporate governance and capital markets transactions.
Dumont brings nearly 20 years of experience advising public companies and leading complex capital markets transactions at several of the nation’s leading law firms, including Cooley LLP, Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP and Sullivan & Cromwell LLP.
“Norm Law represents a once-in-a-generation opportunity to reimagine how elite legal services are delivered to public companies and institutional clients,” said Dumont. “For nearly a decade, and long before the current generative AI moment, I have believed that technology will have a profound impact on corporate governance and disclosure. I am thrilled to join a team that is pioneering the integration of world-class legal talent with cutting-edge AI technology, and look forward to building a Public Company advisory practice that sets a new standard for speed, precision, and strategic value.”
At Cooley, Dumont was a member of the firm’s Public Companies and Capital Markets groups. He also served as a founding member of its Artificial Intelligence Task Force and co-headed its Alternative Data, Monetization and Governance group. He began his career at Sullivan & Cromwell in New York and Paris. Dumont is a graduate of Stanford Law School and Princeton University.
Pepeljugoski represents private equity sponsors, portfolio companies, public companies, boards of directors and management teams in a wide range of domestic and international transactions. He also has experience in capital markets and finance transactions.
“Having worked both as outside counsel and as an in-house M&A leader, I know clients need lawyers who understand the transaction and the business objective behind it,” said Pepeljugoski. “Norm Law empowers senior lawyers to spend more time on structure, negotiation and risk and other issues that drive value for clients, while technology facilitates consistent transaction execution. This new model is a compelling way to practice, and I am excited to help build it.”
Before joining Norm Law, Pepeljugoski led M&A at Clarivate, a global publicly traded data intelligence company. He previously practiced in the private equity transactions group at Ropes & Gray LLP and in the corporate practice at Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP, where he focused primarily on M&A and other strategic transactions. He earned his J.D. from Fordham University School of Law and his B.A. from Tufts University.
